Noticed a while ago someone had put the exhaust manifold gaskets around the wrong way, in my haynes its says when fitting be careful not to do just that am i am wondering if it may be causing a bit of imedence to the flow having them on opposite banks??

it looks like they bolt up ok but just has all the cylinder number round the wrong way

thanks

Yeah, it would cause the exhaust to flow the wrong way.

Yeah, it would cause the exhaust to flow the wrong way.

thats what i thought but it isn't running that completely bad at all, i though if it was covering some of the hole after the valve it would run terrible...also how could they put it on like that it looks like it fits ok??

Hahaha... I was kidding AJ. It's like using uphill pipes to make water go against gravity :bowrofl:

Seriously though, I'd have thought that having the gaskets the wrong way around could allow other issues like a poor seal to occur.
