Curious, has anyone put tailights from the late model third gen on a early model third gen? If so then whats the process?

As far as i know there is boot and bar involved.. Maybe not bar but def boot.. :D

I saw a TF with the new led light system the other day, certainly means it works. The lights look like the same size anyway.

sombody pls correct me if im wrong ,...but i think if you wanted say tj tail lights on a th, you would also have to change the boot lid,otherwise it wouldent close?

it not that the boot wont close... its the alignment of the TK taillights to the boot... there without changing the boot.. you'll find that there are gaps.. :D

therefore changing the boot lid and the tail lights will make the rear end a little nicer...

yes very possible, TE-TH fronts and TJ rears look cool :)

You are also partially wrong....the boot doesnt close and there are gaps :D

let me clear this up tj lights th bootlid will hav a 10mm gap, and who says u cant close it :nuts: now with vice versa still d same

SO i gather all you need is TJ lights and a TJ boot lid? is that itttt? it wil all fit in nicely?

Dude, I've done it before and its a bad idea. It hits the black plastic guard on the inside of the tail lights and over time damages the side of the boot lid and the black plastic guard.

The TJ boot and lights looks heaps better, cant wait to get mine on.

I have a TJ bootlid ready to put on, but still have TE tail lights, will that fit until i get the TJ tail lights?

dose it look dodgy with the gaps???
