If your Deck has Aux in then you use that ..
Your Head unit will only play the Sound, not the Picture..

if you have no Aux in you can use a FM Modulator and it goes through your radio ... does'nt sound as good but it does work .. i have 1 for sale if you need it :)

how would you compare the sound quality to that off not using the modulator??

Most are fine... The ones that plug directly into the aerial are in a way still hardwired. The bodgy ones like Belkin iTrip for iPods are crap.

To compare it, through my system, when using my CD stacker (fm modulated, through aerial) I can notice slight silibance. (Overexxagerated 'S' sound. Slightly shrill)

But that's me, I dont know if others would notice it, not through stock speakers, or low range splits anyway.

when i was running my dvd through the fm modulator it was prolly a little better than radio quality ... going through the Aux in is alot better though
