hey booya, id be interested to know what mods you've done to your car

apparently, from reading posts around this forum, you are going to be making over 200hp ATW! when you've finished tuning your haltech ......... is this correct >?

the reason i wanna know is that iv got a TE V6 manual aswell, and i wanna make that kind of power aswell!!! heheh

so if u could list your mods it would be most helpfull

cheers

at one stage we made over 200hp.

we have now settled the bar, and we have a consistant 18something.something.

ive now got it at home, and im 'running it in' haha.. i see to also be 'running' into trouble, cos ive now gotta relearn the lauch technique, but until then, ive seem to be chewing the front tyres

ive already been pulled over once. and ive only had her back since 3.45this afternoon (nt time )

its sooo fun tho.

"you have to excuse me mister officer, with over 1000lb of tractive effort, i cant help but spin those front dunlops"

cos i knew the officer, he let me off, but even then, he was mor interested in asking me where 'booya' had been for soo long.

and he said to watch friday nite, cos now Alice police HQ knows im out and roaring

as for your question, we were originally gonna 'gut the cat' but i ended up buying a high flow one. so i dont get the greenies vandalising my car

engine mods:
Cold air induction
Haltech E6k ECU
Redback muffler
red back high flow cat
full stop.

power: 181.8hp at the wheels

shit that makes the Haltech bloody sweet!!! the other mods would only add around 10-15kW combined....

Booya, you've so got to add that HF throttle body!!!

and some extractors... then get it retuned... i can see 200hp so damn easy!!!

Booya,

After all the stuffing around, how much was the total cost of the Halteck?

Are they giving you a discount for screwing you around?

hey booya, do u have a dyno to prove your claim ? cuz i got a full exhaust system (2&1/4 genie with hi flow muffler) and i dont see how adding cold air induction (to stock air filter ? ) and an aftermarket computer will make 181hp ATW ..... hopefully u prove me wrong.... cuz i want that sorta power atw wheels hehe 8)

do u have a pod aswell.? or is that cai to the stock airbox ?

sorry bout the interrogation hehe

later 8)

Guys I am only going to say this once but I know a bloke that has a dyno print out that says that his 1500 cc VW has 192 Kw at the wheels. My point is that Dyno's are a tuning tool and unless you run a heap of cars back to back like we did at the SE QLD dyno day you probably won't get comparable results. having said that though Cookie got 160hp atw with his 3l manual with muffler and filter so it might be right who knows.

Cheers

Damn i have no idea how you got 1000 foot pounds of torque but on the dyno it would be reading well over 1500 because torque is multiplied through the gearbox and you would be putting out less then 300nm's at the engine.

What kind of air sensor are you using MAP ?
