all the 91-96 model magna/verada lights are 100% interchangeable.

if you have alook at any TR/TS you'll see that the lights are visibly the same shape.

Mine were from a KS and fitted perfectly into my TS. All I had to do was re-align the beams

i'd definately put money on it, as mine is a stock exec with verada lights, show him my car and he'd be chopped! :D

Samurai & GTRICE, are your Verada headlights the parabolic style? It's just that some of the Veradas had basically the same headlights as the Magnas, and some had the different looking parabolic style with sort of black surrounds around the reflectors.

I'm looking around wreckers to buy a set for my TS

Cheers

It's actually Multi-Parabolic..and GTRICE's ones are exactly the same as a KS Verada's headlights, they just came from a Japenese Diamante (not to be confused with the ones that Samurai and I have that are from a US Diamante, smaller)

I know GTRICE's ones because I bought them when TZABOY owned the car for him...He paid me back of course, Im not that nice :P hahaha

the parabolics only came out with the TS (KS) model, the old TR (KR) model verada doesnt hav it, so every1's paras are either from the KS verada or a diamante

Hey I just found a pair of Parabolic lights from a wrecker out of a Diamante. He said the indicator is not seperately attached like the magna's and verada's, they are all in 1. he said they will fit straight into my TS, that true?

Anyway im picking them up tomorrow, $250 the pair

ermmmm i think he's confused your car with a 3rd gen magna........because even the japanese and US parabolics have the indicators seperate. So i dunno from what your telling us they are most likely for a 3rd gen, i've never seen 2nd gen paras with the indicators as 1 piece.
Maybe he has the US Diamante ones, which have the grill thta goes around the outside of the headlight and indicator and he mistakenly said that they are 1 piece. In which case you will need to get the grille and indicators, and change some of the wiring on the back of the lights.

Heya, yeah I didn't get them from him.. I found a guy that was selling KS Verada parabolic headlights etc.. Just gotta work out to get em in..

open yur bonnet, look inbetween the headlight and indicators theres like a metal clip thing....push it and pull the indicator forwards. Once both indicators are out theres 2 nuts that hold the headlights in. If u have a socket with an extension u can stick it through the grille and undo the other 2 bolts holding the headlight from the front, if not take yur grille off and take em out.

Once you've undone the bolts take off the plugs at the back and pull the lights out.

Do they look better with the clear type TS indicators left in?

Matt

i dont think they do....but some ppl do.
I dont like the orange ones either though. thats why i've tinted mine around the outside.

i hope u know that a profile of 50 is different on every width of tyre.......a profile of 50 does not mean 50mm.....it is worked out as a percentage of the tyre width.

so i run 225/50 R16.

keep the clear, it always will look better! Just make sure you have an orange globe! :doubt:

i know this is off topic a bit, but instead of paying $300 a set for parabolics, why dont/cant you just take them apart and spray the inside of them with tint or a black paint, simlar to what you have done with the blinkers??????

Killbilly
12-07-2005, 05:10 PM
No, they're actually built differently inside.

If any of you guys are after KS Verada parabolic headlights and indicators, a wreckers called Just Mitsy on the Gold Coast Queensland has them. I sent them an email today regarding a pair, this was there response: "Yes we have set of genuine ones. They will fit straight into your car. They are $200 each. Not sure if you have priced them new but they are $300-400 each"

There phone number is, (07) 5529 2577 they do postage also

Coz I found a pair else where, I no longer need to buy them from these ppl

Cheers

Like others have said, he may have been referring to the US diamante parabolics which come with a grill that surrounds the lights, and the lights themselves are abit smaller. Though samurai doesn't use the surround so maybe he could shed some light on how to get around it :).
I think keeping the clear (with orange globe) indicators looks better but tinting the edges of them, looks bloody awesome!
