Ok i know im a dick!!!!!!!

Took my engine out on the weekend to replace the rear mains seal any way as i was lifting the engine out i managed to dint my bonnet with the engine lifter....

any way its not that bad but the wife has said if i want to i can fit a bonnet vent...

So i was thinking of either a Evo Style bonnet
http://www.gtautostyle.com/accessories/evo5_6_vent.jpg

or this one from Jet Speed
http://www.jetspeed.com.au/universalParts/airvents%20U010.jpg

or should i just get the bonnet fixed...

what do you guy think .........

like the look of the evo one, but isnt the point of the bonnent vents to provide air to turbo and also intercooler depending on where u mount it??
I could be wrong and im sure some one out there would be more then happy to prove me wrong

oh dear god.....

definately not the skyline one. i bet u a 6 year old kid to so just he same job..cut a hole and bolt on a piece of plastic, with all the bolts showing

i say no vents...or like, ferarri/super car style....but that might be a bit hard to do.

i know....new WRX STi style1!1!!!!

As I have said about other mods (ie. multi exhausts) unless you have some muscle to back the look I wouldn't go there... the Evo one is pretty modest in comparison, but the other is just plain obscene sorry IMO... looks like it is from the 80's for a start... :snooty:

at the end of the day, each to their own... do what makes you most happiest ;)

That Skyline vent would look alright but it would have to be colour coded so it didnt stand out like dogs Testicals.. It would look rice but nice.. lol

I'd give it ago mate. Depending on the size of the dent you have nothing to loose anyways, as the cost of fixing the dent usally involves a new bonnet (been down that road before)

personally would colour code the skyline/200SX?? style vent...

if it was the same colour without the bolts that one looks betterer imho

jet speed one is hidous, dont do that one. The evo style is ok, but personally i would be going for a later model evo style vent, such as the evo 7-9 style bonet vent that is more subtle and attractive.

i personally think the skyline one (on the skyline EWWW) but properly done on the magna would look awesome, some dude did it and his car is on this website, its a black TL/TW VRX (not good with these new models) dewinged and had like 19" chomies and lowered on its ass. that thing had the same style bonnet and looked killer.

i would say go on photoshop first, muck around with it and then if you like what you see, go for it!

although that black VRX with the vent was sex. (cant find the link sorry)

point taken but it was a nice as car.....and the bonnet would look good on any other 3rd gen, given that the car is lowered with nice mags it would look good!

I just wanna how how the hell you managed to damage it in the first place. Doing an engine swap, the first thing I'd do is unbolt the bonnet and store it somewhere safe.

Ok guys firstly the dent was not intentional maybe deep down it was.....

the reason i posted the pick of the evo bonnet was the is a company that sells it as a mould in kit for $160 including mesh...

and the second one reminds my of that TL bonnet.....that is a mean looking car......

And as my car is embassy grey if done right would look like that, and i figured if i do the mods to my car now i dont have to do it later when i mod the engine......

The more holes in the Bonnet the more moisture that gets in and the more things you will have to replace prematurely..
