Accusound are not bad, but there are far better..
Your Best Bet is to go and See a Home Hifi specialist instead..
You may be able to get a better deal..

I went to Harvey Norman and saw what they could do for Jamo and I was very suprised..

I noticed that was only for the speakers alone, Do you have an Amp good enough to run them ????

U after home theatre? Or home audio?

These are good entry level home theatre sets, but probably not the best for home audio. For the budget you could do better for music.

oh dear you can't begin to imagine how expensive home audio can get lol

few hundred thousand dollars easily

old man and a friend of his was at a shop once, coz my old man was looking for a pair of speakers for the lounge room

dynaudios- mid class- $17,000
better ones...sounded better than the dynaudios.....names i haven't even heard of were $25,000 plus

mcintosh ones are awesome, their amps are QUALITY! one of their basic DVD players that only plays DVDs, nothing else, is $1200

their 'average' 2 channel amp was around $8000

A good experience to hear what speakers should really sound like:bowrofl:but so depressing when u leave...coz u cant afford any of the stuff there:cry:

Jamo, yamaha...mid-low range stuff?

I have heard that the Top of the Line Logitech Speakers were a Great Entry level Home theatre system??? for $900 and it has a 10 inch Sub...(not sure of the model Number)

I have a Very simple Yamaha TSS1 PC speaker Home theatre Package... It may not win any loud awards but the Sound quality and Accuracy is astounding for the money....

well im looking to spend around $1500 for the speakers and amp for a surround set with a sub. And i dont really want those little satellite speakers as iv heard the bigger floor standing ones are better with different sized speakers in them. So if anyone can recommend anything that would be great.
cheers

Floor standing ones sound unreal compared to satelittes and will reward you with much better sound, but for compactness you cannot beat the satellites...

(Personal opinion below)
Jamo Make the Best Home Theatre Speakers
JBL make the Best Subs
Onkyo the Best Amps
LG the Best Screens

Bose for Satellite system

For Music I like a Set of Richter Dragons.....

For Hidden home theatre BOSE are very hard to beat Tim..
Sure you pay through the nose for it and yes may be over prised but small and compact and still sound as good as they do , very hard to beat..

yeh they is out of my price range,

might start a new project of building my own boxes up from scratch, then i can say to my kids "i built that", after their chest doesnt stop rattling for a week. Just need to find someone who sells the speakers separatly locally so i can aquire some knowledge face to face instead of on the internet. As i already know the home audio plays here will just try and sell me the gear they have in their shops. Im thinking olong the lines of also getting windows media centre edition and setting up a better box for playing mps, with a decent sound card and all that. Im gonna wire up my place so i can have another set of speakers in the room more suited to audio that i can turn on and off remotly, so i can use the lounge room system when im in my room and have another monitor in my room to view playlists and all that. mmmm now im getting ahead if myself, off to see some audio guys on the weeknd... drools

hi my system is about $10,000 now. denon 7.1 800w 12inc sub 350w 40hmns front etc
denon only @ $1700 for reciever and $700 for dvd.
you can also get a 9.1 from denon for 10k but whats the point, they only make a few 6.1 movies at the moment and THX will never go above 5.1.
dont buy kenwood, onkyo, pioneer, sony etc as they have small capasitors.

I recommend Onkyo and even more Marantz. Pioneer aren't what i call great receivers and love to "falsify" their power outputs. Good manufactures quote correct RMS ratings from the start.

Recently i purchased a Sherwood 7 channel amp and even though i class this as a "budjet" amp it kills the Pioneer and Yamaha receivers i have had to date and there has been a few!

FWIW i am using a Sherwood Amp, KEF speakers (front, centre and rears) and a 12" Jensen Subwoofer.

Valves eeky. I used to work in the field and yes you can go ridiculous, we had one customer who had spent over 1.5mil on hifi/home theatre in his place. If it were me I would get some half decent floor standing speakers and a decent amp and then build on the system from there. Also dont discount second hand stuff as its at least half what was paid for it originally. If you have the space dont even bother with little satellites in a decent sized room, also they leave you no rrom for upgrading. I would look at some specialist stores even if they only stock things out of your budget just to get a reference of how good things can sound. Also dont be afraid to bargain, as most products have at least 30-40 percent profit in them.

For your budget of $1500 you could go to JB HIFI and get a great surround set and receiver.
If you want to build your own, this guy works from home and really knows his stuff. Its heaps cheaper than shop stuff as its more of a hobby. He know loads about crossover design.
You can buy kits that come with everything including instructions to build the boxes yourself if you want.

Another great site and very helpful guy for DIY is:

Humble Homemade HIFI (http://home.hetnet.nl/~geenius/)

Accusound is excellent for the money, and very close to alot of the very expensive stuff.
As with all speaker brands they make their entry level stuff, and their top of the line so to a point you get what you pay for.
I have accusound Delta series speakers teamed with Harman/kardon electronics. Built system bit by bit but was worth it. Probably spent over $10,000 but definately worth it. I have listened to alot of systems worth upwards of $40,000 with so called top line imported speakers, and there isnt alot of gain over mine.
Highly recommend accusound as its Australian, been around along time, and because its made here you get alot more value and performance then imported gear. Sound quality is great!!!!
Have had my speakers for over 3 years and they are faultless in performance (all accusound equipment has minimum 5 years warranty!!!!!)
Goodluck......the pack you a looking at is a good buy.
