Hi all, does anyone know what money i'm looking at to change a timming chain on a 1994 ts Magna, has anyone recently got that done ???

To replace the chain around $200 give or take depending on where you go.
But often it's not the chain that is at fault, make sure you check your tensioners(i think that's what they're called) they may just need tightening (eg. a loose chain = rattle). I will be getting this done soon so i can let you know if you want :).

its usually the balance shaft chains that get loose and make noise. some ppl skimp on the job and just replace the timing chain which can be done just by takin the rocker cover off and then they still have rattling. Get all the chains done. a kit with the chains and guides costs about $130-$150....then add labour on top off that.
