Hey I have a 93 TR with pioneer 200W 6x9's on the rear shelf, and it rattles like all hell when I turn it up!! :( Anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it? Would putting anything foamy/soft under the shelf stop the rattles?

a) Screw them down :D
b) Add foam under the cardboard/wooden shelf.

The TR/TS shape suits 6x9 speakers. They seem to give off a lot of bass (compared to the commodores etc).

hahahah my shelf is very loose i took my 6x9's out and they are now in my back doors... subs sound better but now the shelf rattels more! O also you may think its your shelf but sometimes can be the stoopid numberplate holders you get from the car yarks.. took mine off and put some little rubber feet under the numberplate works like a charm..

no really.....thanks for the other tho.
And I've already fixed the number plate, foam tape used for window sealing does the trick!!
Thanks for the help.

a really cheapo way (that i went for) is stuff old cloth/rags through the bottom of the shelf (open the boot of course).... jam lots of them in there so that the shelf expands and has no space to vibrate. :)

i found its not the parcel shelf that rattle but the parcel shelf brake light. Might wanna check it out.

how did you fix yours??
mine has a temp fix of some foam tape, but its too bulky and is being sqeezed out at the moment.. ;)
that's why i hadn't already just stuffed whatever i can find under there, cause it'll push the light onto the window and make it rattle even more than it does now....

for me it was the top piece of the light vibrating against the bottom, i tightened the screws up inside and taped it up and no more vibration. If u dont want it vibrating against your window just slide it back a little.
You could figure it our on yur own if u put a little effort in.
