Well i found a mechanic... i got a big ass oil leak in my car and i was told its the crankshaft and cam shaft seals... he also said if there is oil on the belt he will hve to change it.
i was told all up it will cost me $520...
what u think?

as per mechanics i do all my own work unless its upgrade stuff thats too trickey
$520 for all yur seals and a timing belt isnt a bad price, and id reccomend u get it done asap caz u dont want it wearing out yur timing belt causing it to snap on u

if you dont know anyone i would suggest looking up the nearest repco or ultratune or something.. everyone has mechanics they recomend but its best to just hunt around, try different places and find one you like. I have a place i always take mine but their at enoggera in brisbane.. probably not a great deal of help :P

ANT Mechanical in Labrador, he is RACQ approved, is honest, reliable, and offers prompt service. top bloke
i will only take my car to him, and those who know me know that it takes a lot before i will trust someone with my car, but i trust these guys implicitly.
Hope this helps

lookin for a good mechanic in brisbane? i'm on the southside but cool to get northside for a decent mechanic. even keen for the gold coast too if that's the case. just have a 100000km service coming up and dont wanna get ripped off as i'm doing platinum plugs, timing belt and water pump all in one hit to save costs down the road. anyone know if it's just better to buy all the stuff and give it to them to do or just let them supply? i have to stick to a warranty so unfortunantly i cant do it all myself

400kms from a tank sounds pretty good to a guy like me who is smoking 290kms from the last tank! i need a trusty mechanic i think.
