carbon blast - mmm.. something to do with cleaning exhaust? or maybe cylinder heads?

any more info on the product - and what its ment to do?

(oviously if youve used it before - you'll know what it is!!)

cleans the carbon off the valves pistons and rings smoother performance recomended for any car thats done 100000km 9 times out of 10 you will feel the differance the 1 out of 10 that doesnt has got other engine problems when car is running on the fluid you can see the exhaust pouring out carbon

i used it (subaru upper cylinder head cleaner) on mine the day before i went on the dyno and there was 2 of us that got 10kw more ATW compared to other cars with similar mods :D not usre if he had used anything like that though.
doubt it had anything to do with it, but interesting tho!

just spray it straight into the T/B while giving it a few revs (yes, have to take off air filter snorkel etc)

i have to admit the car sounds *** tuff when u do it though!! especially when it finally idles (car wont idle without a bit of throttle when the intake is off) and it sits there hunting for RPM.... sounds like a crazy drag car!

i wouldn't have a clue where to get it, my mate gets it from work, as it comes with subaru servicing kits but they don't need to use it or something, so it all gets thrown out... (or used by me!) i'm guessing most places would sell it as a carbon deposit spray cleaner or upper cylinder head cleaner or somthing

We ran a fleet of 20 late model Mazda Bravo utes. 18 of them were used in places that never got out of first gear and idled a lot, the other 2 were used out on the roads and highways. Some of the 18 after round 40,000 k's which took about 2 years to rack up started to become sluggish and had dead spots when accelerating. I don't mean flat spots but dead spots where the revs just didnt climb any more even with the foot to the floor. We had these utes professionally carbon cleaned which is where they pull off your fuel rail and connect their own with a solution. After we got these uses back, they ran like brand new. Heaps of power and no more dead spots.

The other 2 that were used for every day use through town and on highways never had this problem even with 150,000k's on them.

The point i'm making is that you will know when your car will need a carbon flush. it will be veey sluggish and very jerky through the revs. We found that the cars needing a carbon flush also usually pinged when accelerating.

I had one of the two utes that were driven out and about carbon flushed and i didnt notice any difference at all. I'm sure the way most people drive and especially the way we drive, your car probably wont need a carbon flush.
