This isnt actually about a Magna but its about a battery, and magna's have batteries so why not? :D Ok, once upon a time my friends car got a flat battery, we jumped started it with much difficulty using my car. Then it was fine for about a week or so, then it died again, so we were hoping it would be just because the battery is f**ked and not that it was something more serious, so we looked up the battery he needed, and went and bought it. That was no problem. The problem was when i went to put the new battery in his car. The terminals on the new battery are considerably larger than the terminals on the old battery, and therefore the bits that connect to the terminals do not fit over them  ...so he has no car at the moment. What can we do about this? anyone had the same problem before? Thanks.

Take the battery back and swap it over for one with smaller poles.
Did you take the old battery in with you? I find that's the best way to go, then you can make sure it's exactly the same :D

yes alot of import cars have smaller terminals
you can either get new terminals or swap the battery

Thanks, but i dont think that swapping the battery would help, i looked up in the book at the auto parts shop what battery i needed for that car, and thats the one we got. So if i took it back, i would just be sold the same battery again...need to fix it another way.

thanks. i took the battery back and got a battery that was exactly the same, only without one letter in the model number, and it had smaller terminals. its strange, because the one i originally bought was definitely the one listed for that car. and the one they replaced it with was listed as being for other cars. strange...but its fixed now. :D
