While I am on my P's i drive a TR magna on full comp insurance until im 21.
Then I can upgrade,

However back to the Question,

I have a HeadUnit from my sisters bf that I bought for like $100 when I remember see'ing the reset for $400 and something.

I'm looking at getting it installed asap...

What are the average prices for installation?

anyone?

i'd be surprised if any places do it for under $50 an hour ... then again most headunits only take that to install

$60-$80.

Dont go to strathfield, jb etc though, as they are bodgy.

Just save ur bucks and diy

Not too hard.

Buying a wiring plooms to match will cost around $20. Then u dont need to fiddle around with wires
Otherwise go to a proper car audio place. Will save u money in the long run.

Its hard if you got no idea on what to do, I would like to be paying like $50 for instalation, but straithfield is the closest place, where else?

Tryed to install into my TR the head unit.

Got most of the wires in and tryed the ground out, blew a fuse.

It's hard to do when you have no idea on what needs to be done..

Wire the Ground up first then do the power, keep the fuse that blew removed untill you have grounded it, then pop the new fuse in, If it blow again you have done something wrong..

Even better, wire the whole thing up with the ground unplugged at the battery...

That way you cant accidentally short anything in the installation process
