How do you tell if you have a push or a pull type clutch?

i take it you want to know if your clutch daiphram is pulled to disengage or pushed.
In most cars the clutch is a push to release type. The only commonly used pull clutch I have seen is a Spicer clutch they are used in most american built prime movers and also have a clutch brake.
Pull clutches are also usually adjustable and this is done at the clutch through an access hole in the bell housing. If a push clutch is adjustable then it's the linkage to the pedal that is adjusted.

i'm pretty sure from what i can remember the magnas are a push type clutch (which is apparently the wierd, expensive one) but most OS Giken and similar clutch kits for imports actually convert their clutches to a push type so they can't be bad...
