Second hand off an EVO 6, all up cost me bout 3 and a bit grand with rotors and Pagid RS4-2 pads. Had to make a 4mm spacer to fit on the rear hub behind the rotor to get the calliper offset right(thanks to TooSlow for the advice on that). Got new braided lines made up as well. I want to recondition the callipers as they look a bit "used", but gotta save some money first.

The std ralliart brakes are heaps better than the standard magna brakes but this is in a whole new league.

PROS; dispursts heat better, better pad bite, plenty of wanking to be done over em
CONS; uses more pads, if not treated right has tendacy to form hairline factures; $$
i had xdrilled and slotted, but not brembos tho :(

Cross drilled is just w@nk and will chew out your pads REAL quick!
Slotted is enough.
So you brake like a real sports car now ;) good stuff!!

Well you got one thing right ;)
Braided brake lines are legal as long as they are ADR compliant. Basically it replaces the rubber hoses which means the hoses can't flex, which gives a better brake feel, and won't lead to brake fade as quickly.
How many pistons are in those calipers?? They 4's or 6's???
Oh - and feel free to buy some larger rotors to fill those wheels up a little bit more haha

The lines have ADR stamped on 'em so i'm safe in that respect. They are 4 pot fronts, 2 pot rears. Will be getting some DBA5000's(slots, 2 piece, ally hat) when i wear these rotors out.

Its not just the size that matters - the slotted rotors will provide more efficient braking then non slotted.

The rotors are for an evo GSR version 5-8, They are 320 x 32 fronts and 300 x 22 rears, make a big diff!

Very true, found that out on my TS, mind u it wears the pads at a much greater rate.

is the EVO series, DBA 5000 with twin hat design would be da bomb.
however, you can get AP RACING 285/28x (f) and 345x28 (r) to two piece design on carbon disks fit those calipers.
leave the rears and upgrade the front to 6p, with AP Racing CP5550 series caliper for up to 410x32 size disk!!
been there studied everthing that would fit - and anything that i could make fit!!

That would be sick!!!
These are the GSR ver brakes so they are 320 x 32 fronts and 300 x 22 rears.
I had good look at the 360mm AP setup but finding a wheel to fit over the callipers would be the hardest thing, not to mention the cost!

19x9" wheel via a +41 offset (or any 19" wheel that "would" normally fit the EVO7 offset of +38 where the inside of the wheels are contured out to fit the EVO brakes;
ask and you will be told
its funny cos the 4k i had put away for brakes eventually got spent to fix my car after the accident
another months wages would of had me with 360mm AP /6piston
not ranting now - cos man, id of shot myself if i had of lost that with the fire

Yeah, it's the conture on the inside that's the key, wouldn't be able to have much of a dish, if any.
They woulda been some expensive brakes to have melted! My condolences BTW!

I trial fitted mine during the week they only just fit inside my 17's. Im using the DBA 4000 series rotors (4418 front & 4419 rear). I just got to get some brake lines.

I have done the 295 upgrade to the front of my magna with the twin pot calipers.
Do you or anyone know if you could upgrade the front end to 4pot with no other changes to the size of the rotor.
Main reason is I have 16 inch rims and dont want to spend big on bigger rims for insurance reasons and as I have already spent alot on decent rims and tyres I am happy with.
Cheers

i have a very good feeling these would fit...
and they are pretty cheap!! - normally around 600 EACH, let alone bidding for a PAIR.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43807&item=4562164731&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
will need pads - but competion friction could organise that
