Well, I'm not sure if it's happened over the time i've owned the car (not even a week yet). Or if it was already there and I didn't notice it. But anyway, the bottom section of my center consol is popping out (where the ashtray is). Now, so car i've tried putting a touch throguh and seeing if i could clip it back onto somethign, no luck there, so i tried brute force of jsut pushing it back into place and still no luck. It's realyl ****ting me cause it looks tacky in my verada! :swearing:
Any ideas on how I could snap it back into place?

My friend in his verada has the exact same problem, to fix it maybe u might need to remove it completely and take a look at all the clips maybe ones broken off or something.
I will be taking a look at his dash in the next week.

Well best tips for a dash killing noob is take it slow, dont rush if there is too much resistance from what you are removing dont remove it take a second look at where it might be holding on and maybe try and pull it with even force, also if the part is screwed in make sure you undo the screws and make sure u take out any plugs that are connected to the hazards etc.
Also where did u get up to when u stopped.
My friends worry when they see me just ripping everything out with soo much force and still not braking or hurting anything, most things only need very little force to remove.

Could always go to pick-a-part and learn how to pull the interiors of cars apart, if you break something, eh, who cares.

:stoopid: lol
I think i might maybe have to add another guide or just add to Bains one on how to remove the dash for the magna with verada in the picture too.
Okay if you got stuck at step one.
First open the centre console as this will get in your way when removing the part around the gear stick. Then open the little tray thats at the end (The little one towards the back)
Then grab the inside of it somehow and lift there is a clip at the back and thats why u want to grab the part around the console there. This should come up relatively easily.
Once you have lifted the gear cover part pull it backwards towards the back of the car as there are 2 little lips at the end of the gear cover that hold the ashtray from coming out.
The rest will be straight forward with Bains guide but if you have any probs just ask and ill help out.

Yeah had that happen in my 3 veradas. Once you pull them out, they never go back properley. You have to get new clips even though the old ones arent broken. As soon as you pull it out, the clips are stuffed. They will go back in but never as well as before.

The clear ribbed thing is air routed out of the Climate control near the knob i have no idea why its there but it is.
I was pretty surprised to see it there.

Its called "ASPIRATOR HOSE" its connected to your auto climate control unit via small aspirator motor, sucks cabin air (at certain intervals)to determint and adjust cabin temperature.

To get the ashtray out stick your hand under the ashtray in the transmission tunnel until you can reach the back of the ashtray then push towards the back of the car and it should come out pretty easily.

Give the thing a good hard yank. I had the same clip broken when an audio place installed my HU, superglued the clip back together and it is good as new.
