Hi Guys, I realise you answered a smell question earlier but my SE has a smell like rusty rad water and I just noticed today while driving that the vents seem to emanate a sort of brownish smoke that doesn't smell to good. The reason I only just noticed this is because I was being naughty and driving it non rego. Taking it for a pass tomorrow.
Any help in this department would be very usefull.

Yeh that was my guess but I was wondering if this sort of things has happened to anyone else. Frankly I don't want to be messing around with the heater core because knowing my luck it's a complete dash out situation.
The other hint it might be the core is if I turn on the heater it seems to mist up the windscreen sort of like when you get in the car after being in the rain and the heat inside makes your windows fog up.
Now all I need to hear is the bad news

easy fix get a blanket and bypass the heater core join the heater hoses so it doesnt have any water flow (blanket to keep u warm) :D
yeah we had the same problem on our TR SE - core went and needed to be replaced. was a ***** of a job.
Youll know if your windows fog up.

no its not hard to remove the dash but hard to put it back together and afterwards have no bolts or anything left over.
