ok, so im pretty sure the reason why my steering is heavy, or getting heavier is power steering fluid.
its the 1 thing i havent checked in a long time.
however, ive noticed also, that when there is a fair bit of force going around a left hand corner, whereby weight is transfered primarily to my drivers side FW, the power will decrease. not to a degree of stalling, but im sure i could make it so.

would the fact the pwr steering pump is doing more work with little fluid, and being turned inward on the side the steering wheel is on, be making the engine do more work to cause this?
or do i have other issues.
i know my grammar is an issue.
but main points are

weight transverse
FW drivers side
power decrease.

Power steering pump probably sucks off 2-3kW if you're trying to make it work hard,
such as when doing slaloms - going lock2lock in about 2 secs.

Working the pump with low oil will probably wear it out and kill the seals.

Just top it up with Auto Trans Fluid if you've got nothing better...

Doing hard left hand turns with low fuel was a guaranteed recipe for fuel starvation
on my old TN wagon. Tank pickup must have been on the front-left of the tank.
