well after 2 years of buying bits and pieces i'm finally satisfied with my system. It doesn't distort before the pain barrier and you know you have enough bass when your headlights flash with the beat (up very loud of course, not that i drive at this volume ;)).
My system as followed:
All power measurements are in MAX power.
1 x Sanyo 4 x 50w HU $200
2 x 4 inch 2-way Jenson 75w in dash running off a channel each from the HU $70
1 x In dash GFX equaliser/amp 4 x 50w (looks mad at night when it lights up the equaliser) -came with car
2 x 6 x 9 inch 3-way pioneer 120w running off a channel each from the GFX equaliser/amp - came with car
1 x Boss Audio 4 x 300w amp $140
1 x Boss Audio 12 inch subwoofer 600w running off 2 channels on boss amp $60
2 x 7 x 10 inch 3-way Audioline 300w running off a channel each on boss amp $50
1 x Avalanche 4 x 200w amp $140
1 x Pioneer 12 inch subwoofer 600w running off 2 channel on avalanche amp $30
2 x 6 inch 3-way pioneer 200w running off a channel each on avalanche amp $100
speaker/power cables + boot setup = $300
Total Cost $1090
Total Max Power Out-put = 2200W max
Total Speakers (counting each "way") = 28
All that needs doing is add a couple of small neons in the boot and a couple of reflective 3 diamond stickers :).

So yeh will hopefully have pics of it up tonight, any comments are welcome :).

Wow a major Budget system !!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at replacing the Headunit for a JVC KGD615, this Deck will allow you more tuning possibilities as it has a sub pre out dedicated to driving the sub ...

Well Done.. Can't wait for the Piccies !!!

Not to mention how the hell you fitted it all in !!!

Thanks for the comments guys :). Definately not the best system, but far better than the stock 4" peice of cork and cardboard craptacular 15w max speakers :P.

Here is what my boot install was before i worked on it.
Uploading finished pics in next post...

Guys i need some advice before tonight real quick...

I'm gonna go get the 2 neons for behind the brake lights but undecided on whether i should get blue or just keep the whole boot purple, i dunno if purple and blue will mix well, what do you guys think?
Also i know this sounds cheap but can you get that plastic contact book stuff in chrome? could cut out some mitsu symbols using that,
Any ideas would be great, thanks
Leigh.

don't bother with chrome mitsubishi symbols..it just looks tacky anyway, even if u get real badges.

go with purple neons to match ur current mega-long tube lol

yeah go purple, dont mix colours.

Hey I noticed as well.. ever had any troubles with no leg room for the rear passangers? What made you fill the feet space with a speaker box? Or dont you take passangers?

Ok i got my purple neons (on special YEY :D) and my foil paper. Will post a new pic up tonight when it's darkish.

And as for the feet space, at one point i had my 7x10's in the boot running bass with the boss 12 inch sub(only had 1 sub) and required boxes for these. Had the 6x9's on parcel shelf. Then when it moved the 7x10's back to the parcel shelf i had 2 boxes and 2 speakers with no where to put 'em. I hate seeing things go to waste so i chucked 'em on the floor. Prior to me putting the 7x10's in the boot i had the 6x9s under the front seats facing towards to footwell with very unstable/temporary pieces of wood holding them there.
As for leg space, i hardly ever have more than 1 passenger, and if i do, if it's a long trip i'll just take the speakers out (being in boxes is REALLY handy for this) or for short trips they can just stick a foot either side of 'em. The 6x9s do help with treble in the back seat though, make a fair bit of difference.

Just an update to let you know that i have now finished my boot install, thinking i might get some black material to drop behind the board to hide the top of the subs and somehow i needa make the 3 diamond symbols reflect more...hmmm.
Anyway also check out the boot install thread as i have added the pictures to that.
Enjoy :).
