I have two different types of mark on my windscreen wonder if anyone can suggest ways of getting them off?

1 Rings on either side of front windscreen, since I had a new screen put in

2 water marks on all windows, looks like previous owner left car where bore/retic water splashed on it. They don't come off with polish.

Thanks!

1 - metho or windex?

2 - if all else chemical has failed, try a thin razor blade or similar scraper, such as used to remove rego stickers.

Perhaps try shower cleaner. It works pretty well on getting the scum off shower screens. I'd imagine it'd do the same with windscreens! You might just wanna take extra care you don't get too much on the paintwork of the car.

Okay Number 1 I'm not sure what you mean - are these rings in the paint near the screen? If they're in the glass itself then I'd say its faulty and needs a replacement under warranty. Number 2 - the classic cure is toothpaste and a damp sponge. Use just a little and use a damp sponge, make it the el cheapo no name type - that works best.

Number 1 are the ring marks you get when they put in the windscreen. They are the plunger marks or whatever holds on to the glass whilst its being put on.

Buy some Baking Soda. Pour a teaspoon worth into a clean cloth plus a few drops
of water to make it into a paste then try rubbing it on the salt-stain marks.

Might be surprised how well it works; it won't scratch the glass.

If the suction rings are on the inside, I use a cleaning product called "Bars Bugs". Works wonders, but sometimes i need to give the glass 2 cleans if its been a while...
