recent dicussions about adj.vernier cam gears has got me thinking...
i have a greddy sitting in my room waiting to be installed...

im thinking about waiting till i can get a stage 1 cam and a set of adj cam gears before getting it put in and tuned...depends on how much extra i stand to gain with the cam and gears really.

anyone have any guess's as to how much extra kw over just the greddy idé gain?

then tuning wont be as hard when you get the cams

mmm..good point ,but i dont really want to pay for two sets of tuning in the space of a few months...self confesed tightass :redface:

if i dont stant to gain much extra with cam and gears ill get it installed now and get the cams etc in another 4-5 months

are you asking whether or not you will get much more power with greddy + cams compared to just greddy?

If so, the answer is a resounding yes. A retune on a stockish car will get you another 8kW perhaps.. RPW stage 1 cams + retune will net you much more!

the second time round would be easeier - as its just fine tuning

would prolly work out in the end the same - specially if your going to do it over 5 months

mmm ...looks like i might as well chuck the greddy in now then eh! :P
