Just looking some front splits to go with my new headunit (Clarion DXZ946MP) - has anyone had any experience with Precision Response speakers? How does this compare with JL Audio? Any other brands I can get for around $200 mark (or less would be good) with better quality?

The splits are good for their price, but I personally think they lask a lot of midbass.
Do a search, as I had a whole thread on them when they first came out.
You would be better of saving a bit more and getting something from JL or equivalent.
Cheers
Pete

I paid $250 for my JL Audio VR600-CSi's (6" Splits), and I highly suggest you have a look at them. However, one noticable problem, though it's dependant on the ears, is that these are very trebbly and can be quite harsh on the ears on particular songs. If you have a headunit which can deal with the trebble control, by all means, have a look at these speakers. Otherwise you might want to look at forking out a bit more for Hertz HSK-165 splits.
