Hi everyone,
I hope to put a TM motor (4 cylinder, auto, carbi) into my TN Magna. Are the motors and mounts etc. similar enough to do this without major headaches.
Any advice will be gratefully received.
Regards, M.
P.S. I'm only doing this because my TN block is cracked and someone has offered me a free TM motor reconditioned 6 months ago.

Same engine, same car - just cosmetic differences.
It should fit in there with zero issues... get the new engine recond. though for a couple of hundred - it'll run much nicer then :)

like the boy said, the only differences i know of (if ur TN was a carby to start, which i guess it was) is the grills. then when u move up to the TP the centre console changes.

Thanks for your help.
I forgot to say that my TN Magna is manual and fuel injected.
I've since heard that this motor should have fewer problems with the block than the TM carbi model (but it cracked nonetheless!!!)
Is it a gamble putting in a TM motor in that case (main attraction is that it is being given to me for free)?
The option of reconditioning my TN motor is more expensive than a few hundred dollars by the way. I'm told it would cost about $1500.
Thanks again for your help. Any more comments?

ur mad getting rid of injected man for carb auto.
What is wrong with your old motor. If it is only a cracked block, usuall front between welsh plugs there are ppl out there that can weld the block without removing the head.
If not, look into just doing a head/block change, keep your injection.
If you don't be prepared to change your fuel system as it will be distressing when you ge to start it and you have 40psi fuel pumping into a carb.
