Is there any LPG AWD's out there?

Mitsubishi's Tech. departments response to a phone call to check of possibility to convert my AWD to dual fuel was a very short email with words "Not possible."

I know there's FWD magna's out there on LPG, is there any fundamental difference with the engines of FWDs to AWD that makes this conversion impossible? I didn't think so. Any input, experience, opinions welcomed.

not worth your money $5000 for a conversion done properly min. + the "cheap" lpg.

now, divide that $5000 into fuel costs - and yer, you will have to do well over 200,000km on LPG to start seeing any money back for the conversion.

not worth it - and no dobut will DECREASE the resale value of your car.

$5000! Your areas expensive. I've got quoted $2000 to $2600, and that's before the $500 rebate. The $2600 includes the optional a lubrication kit to inject flash lube to the valves.

Please clarify why a LPG conversion decrease the value of the car? I thought it would be the other way?

From my experience LPG decreases car value once the car gets on in age. People are very wary of several year old cars that have been converted to LPG. Heard so many stories of bad conversions it is difficult not to be wary. There are also less people lookin for LPG cars than there are normal unleaded, while this does not make the car worth less it does make it more difficult to sell. Boot space is also important to most people lookin at gettin a family car so that is another negative.

So you only need 100,000km now... ;)

Sorry, I'm not being constructive.

It's possible, MMAL just doesn't want to help you. Often you will experience higher than petrol consumption (upto 20% more), poor starting, loss of power.

I think that the loss of power issue for the AWD is an important one to consider.
