ANYWAYS new mod is my tint ..... 38% endurance tint (silver) with 5% black slate for the flames, i really wish i went 20% for the silver as it would make it mirror like but i didnt want to get defected :(

i have to agree with the black plasic section thingys, maybe if the mounting sections were still black, but leave the horizontal lines silver? that way the screws and stuff wouldn't stand out so much..

exactly what i was going to suggest. wouldnt be too hard either, just take em off black them out with black touch up paint or something similar. would look heaps better, as per ASYLUM's chop :D

LOL u guys r impossible!! ........ ages ago when i poested latest pics of my car u guys said i needed to coloyr code the grill or get the altera/verada grill ........... the altera grill's are impossible to buy brand new now as they r not made but my new looks exactly the same as it LOL so no pleasing none of ya's ya all change ya mind haha:P

I bought an altera grill about six months ago. Mitsi just had to get it from interstate. Waited a week and voila! Can't remeber the price though. I've got a grey one you can have if you wanna try painting it? Or get it chromed?

yeah the skirts are actually a replacement for the original black plastics, the only other thing that needs doing is painting the bottom strip of the doors to match

I agree. I love the stealthy look, lowered, no wing, tints, tinted taillights n big arse shadow chromes.

u look at all the pimped vans, hiluxs, utes, 4x4's, even cefiro's and Laurels they tend to have that sort of thing on there.

all the same, no stickers are good stickers in my opinion, no matter the size. Also the flame tint has the effect of a sticker.. basically it detracts from the "pimp" look your going for.. flames are only acceptable on hot rods, and even then it rarely looks good. Im yet to see a modern car with flames that looks good

Decal/sticker whatever is rice to me.
To put it in a more simple way- the flame thingo/stickers is degrading on the cars behalf.
If it was just the whole being real low, big chromies, and black part, id consider calling it 'pimp'

Rice yes, but it looks good.. I think youll also find his flames go from the front window through to the back, whereas yours are on just the back window (kind looks like it was just stuck on as an after thought)

Its also black with chromies, which helps the whole 'pimp' thing. And it looks mean.

I think you needed to start your Flame tint from your front windows and have it continue through and trail off the back window..

I wish people with Pewter colour magna's would stop calling it Silver.

IMHO the clear tail lights don't suit pewter as much, the stockies looked better.

Everyones definition of rice is going to vary, so i cant really be bothered with 'debating' what is and what isnt classed as rice.

To me, the flames is rice aka tacky. The rest of the car isnt..

Now as i have shown on this forum, i am not a fan of rice, but **** sake, there are A LOT ricier cars out there (and on this forum) than that. At least its a manual 3.5L and not an auto 2.4L.

not really a fan of the flames, but its not as bad as decals. First thing i thought of when i saw the flames was that it would look so much better if it went from front to back window, as others have said. To be honest i didnt even notice the tint at all at first glance and wondered WTF your new visual mod was lol
The rest, pretty nice. Rims, subtle kit, lowered, COLOUR-CODED, thats all a magna needs. Unsure about the clear tail lights (would look much worse on a darker coloured car) but it doesnt ruin the car. I didnt even notice the stickers :confused:

overall looks good, and certainly better looking than 90% of magnas on here :)

pretty sure its only the GT so a 2.0L turbo, but nevertheless I've seen it at willowbank and the thing LAUNCHES! ran a flat 14 from memory.

Getting back to the original post,

The tint looks nice, but I dont think the flames suit...as other have said they seem to be just sitting in the middle of the window with no continuity :confused:

The front colour coded trims on the bumper bar currently look "odd". I can only trace it back to the black screws and other bits missing out of the mouldings. Asylums chop was perfect and makes it look as though its meant to be that colour. Currently it kinda looks like a homebrand spray can job, sorry :cry:

Otherwise, car looks really great....better than mine anyway hehe :D

Oh and I think the altera grill suits the TH's better than the verada grill IMO.

My opinion of pimp is very low, dark windows and black paint. Thats my opinion. To say that those wheels are rice is very amussing to me as i actually think they suit magnas very well. That burgendy picture shows this too. RICE to me in wheels are huge chrome wheels no matter what make they are. Chrome to me is rice. I do have chrome wheels on my magna, and i actually do class them as rice. I love them, and thats all that matters to me. I dont care if people call my car rice, as i know in my on thoughts it isnt, its far from it.

Decals that cover the whole car or part of a car is definatly rice to some degree. I cant see how little stickers advertising a business or so you class as being rice. From what you are saying, your are virtually saying all the v8 super cars are all rice because they are covered in stickers :nuts:

people are saying that big chrome stuff is RICE!! yet aren't pimp cars mostly black with CHROME?

does that mean a true PIMP car is Stir Fry? meaning a bit of everything?

only reason why this thread had got so big is cos of 3 SA memebers who clearly dont like me u guys gave me your opinions and i took them .........but ya's went on and on and on !!!!! one of them owns a ralliart the other 2 are "SA reps"
