I'm thinking of putting a TFT Screen in my car (more than likely a roof-mount), 7" or bigger.
If the roof-mount doesn't have a DVD-Player already on it, I can just get an invertor for my xbox, run that in the car, and have the xbox video going to the tft screen, correct? How do you run the audio through the car speakers though? (Do you use an FM Modulator?)

you can but better off buying a dvd player with all the good bits like mp3/4 and such and has better pic quality and there getting cheaper now too.

Aux in, if you don't have that on your headunit then fm mod, expect crap quality from that though. Or, you can just skip the head unit all together and go straight from xbox to amp.

Xbox doesnt put out enough power for it to sound any good. You would get heaps better quality using fm than plugging straight to amp.

Ok, so from what i gathered here...
Xbox --> FM --> Amplifier
Beautiful :-D
$50 odd for the FM Modulator, $130 for the inverter...
$180...
Now, TFT Screen, are those Jaycar or Brash Import Roof Mount ones any good?

Yeah but the xbox is modded so it has the ability to play both mp3/4, the quality is decent, plus there's a 120gb HDD in it with all kinds of junk on it, so it'll actually prove quite useful once installed.

Are you sure the voltage of xbox's rca outputs are too low? I mean the amps do have reasonable gains on them so you can always match the gain of the amp to whatever the output voltage is.
yeah i was thinking the same as nitsu.
if the signals are too low, and you feed it to the headunit AUX, and to the amp, there are a lot of possibilities for it to get distorted and noise.
i'd go AUX over FM anyday....FM SUCKS!:shifty::)
