Well, obviously, I wont have the money to get new rims and lowering done within the next few weeks. However, lowering is a erasable goal sooner rather than later. I do plan on getting some 18's later down the track - but **** knows when? Hopefully within the next 6-8 months. But anyway, what my question is, should I;
A) Lower the car and leave the stockie wheels - I was thinking lows at the front, superlows rear? That should give me nice even wheel to gaurd clearance and not too much road scrapage?
or
B) Get big rims and leave stock height

I'm personally leaning more towards A, but i was also thinking, if i get that lowetring done, and then go get 18's, my ride height would be higher?

I think mags with stock height looks funny, but hey atleast you have mags right?
I remember when SLO3L had mags first, looked '4wd styles' lol

With my old Magna, i lowered it and then put some 18's on. But that was 4 days apart.
Mags dont raise your car up heaps higher, few mm at the most if i remember correctly....

LOWER FIRST!! mine looked phat lowered on black stockies (with chrome trims :) )
(which lead me to buy black 18's)
yes, remember, bigger mags have smaller tyres, so the height of the car is still the same, most of the time the wider wheel makes the gap more noticeable.

hrmm, do u always ahve to ahve small tyres?
I erally wanna try fill the gaurds as much as i can, and the amount of cars ive seen with big wheels, pissy thin tyres and then a huge gap.. it just looks queer. i'd rather slightly higher profile tyres to fill in the gap, and so that im not scraping agaisnt stuff :P
also, id that combination of springs going to get me the decent ride height? i want looks, but also want to keep practicality lol

if u go for higher profiles, u gotta get ur speedo corrected, im running on stock 16" rims from the verada wheels from the 3rd gen in my 2nd gen and its making my speedo outta wack coz of the profile difference, but it dus fill in the gap which makes my car "look" lower but isnt, until i get my springs and hopefully no rubbing will happen

BTW, lower first, it'll look phat! :P

Other way around mate, super lows at front lows at the rear. If you have a look at the front wheel/gaurd you will notice there is a lot more air than the rears.

How much do you have to spend?

And If you increase the wheel/tyre rolling diameter by anymore than 25 mm you might find that you are breaching the road rules. You would also find that once you lower it at the front your tyres will scrub on the inside when turning. Bad choice.

lol im SUV stylin at the moment, just got some 18's from graigus (champion) and its in serious need of lowerin, personally get the rims then dump it, getting it lowered to suit the rims you want will look perfect cause it might be too low or not low enough if you do when your rollin on stockies...

p.s she's getting dumped next week...
