step 1 - buy a packet of ciggarettes (preferrably b & h extra mild)
step 2 - smoke em, enjoy!
step 3 - grab a peice of the carboard
step 4 - jam your shifter button down

drive away and watch the shifter slide

*warning 1: it will take you a second to get used to just slightly tapping it

hahahah My shifter buttong keeps popping out!! damn annoying Throwing it in reverse.. and accidently flicking it off.. then having to Find it while trying not to crash while throwing it into drive n driving off.....

Or maybe i could just stop n pick it up.... DODGY AUTO!!!

Well i have an auto, and i figured out a few things. You can change between neutral and drive without the button, and you can push it up to neutral without the button from L, 2, 3. And down to neutral from reverse. I think that is how it was designed.

lol, took ya long enoguh to figure that out! its even in the cars manual! not that u bothered to read it im sure ;)

gives me an idea for today. might just cut down the stick a little, make it that little bit shorter.. anyone done this before?

i cut down my auto...with a carbon/silver knob...looks sweet sittin low!

yup its auto to. you changed the actually knob? i cant find any that has an overdrive button on it, otherwise i would do! how did you do yours?!

I own a TE...so no overdrive button...i looked 4 ages 4 one 4 my TS wagon...neva found

On d TE...just ripped the old one off...sawed the plastic rod until i found how low it would go nicely...the screwed!

damn. well i saw one up on ebay when i first got my car but i thought they were common and not hard to find wish i had snatched it up now! grr

I t shouldn't be too hard to re-wire the O/D button somwhere else or even geta missile style switch..lol, then just Put any aftermarket auto knob on it.

Maybe place the new switch/button near the shifter or on the dash wichever is more conveinient :?:

can the side button be replaced so I can get a top button like the current model magnas?
