It'd be fairly easy to wire up yourself if you're handy with a soldering iron. Otherwise I wouldn't expect to pay more than 1 or 2 hours labour for an auto-electrics shop to do it for you.
Ben (Booya) had one of these. Maybe PM him for info about using it.

I put one into my TH, took me the better part of a few hours cos i couldn't find all the wires i needed.
I think I still have all the wiring diagrams at home for it.
I am in perth if you want a hand to install it, and it is REALLY easy to use.

It's a rev speed meter - basically its an electronic digital version of everything your dash tells you.
can be used for 0-100km/h times and 1/4 mile times and stuff

Hey John!!
I mounted mine just underneath the centre console - basically there is a cross beam just in front of the gear stick, I made up a bit of a bracket and mounted it so it is perfectly level / forward / up / down etc etc whilst the car is not in motion, I mean under acceleration it changes - but that is expected.
**nb by special bracket I mean I packed the bejeebus of the under side with a wood glue / poxy / filler thing, and held it level till it set ;)
