Basically after a week and abit of having my new v12 amp powering the internals it seems my battery is on its last legs. (purchased less than 6months ago)
My symptoms:
1) Stereo quality started to go to the dogs
2) Dash and headlights go to the sub notes (while driving and alot worse when stopped)
3) When starting up the car now it makes strange ass noises before igniting.
4) When ignition is on and engine off, I can no longer put my power windows up (about 10times slower than usual)
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

Is your battery draining? have you ever had a flat in the morning etc...
Have you ever ran the battery fully dead?
I take it this is a stock battery...
Peace

Never ran it dead, never been stuck in the morning, the car has stalled when thumping audio on the spot once, had trouble starting twice.
New battery, bought 6 months ago and ment to be heavy duty.
Hope to god the alternators fine.

I say get your alternator checked. It makes strange sounds sometimes does it?
battery water topped up?

Recently its been making a really quick clicking sound. Really doesn't sound healthy.
Go to an auto-electrician and get him to test and see if your alternator is healthy.

Sounds like an alternator issue to me, could be wrong though :|

Yep, ur audio, should run fine off the altenator at normal listening levels, if your car has stalled then I'd say test ur altenator output.
Peace

Or better still install a higher output alternator and increase the diameter of the black cable between the battery and body of the car.

I reckon alternator too. That’s the part that does most of the work while the car is running. If your car stalled then it’s getting pretty bad. The battery may also go flat over time if your alternator is having problems charging it while running all the electrics. If your alternator is faulty and your using more power than its generating, your battery may begin to drain while driving which will leave it almost flat when the engine is switched off (hence starting problems and electric window problems when car is off).
You probably don’t need a higher output alternator but this would be a good excuse to get one because better power to your amps will mean better sound quality. Your stereo quality will be bad now because of the massive voltage fluctuations. These voltage fluctuations will prevent your amplifiers from reaching their maximum output and will cause your amplifiers to clip which will create distortion which can sometimes damage your speakers.
Or better still install a higher output alternator and increase the diameter of the black cable between the battery and body of the car.
hahaha, yeah, i did that I added another ground cable from the battery terminal to the chassis...lol
i haven't noticed a difference. maybe i need a few 10 000wrms more

test your alternator output with a multimeter, it should read around 13.8-14.5 volt
