Does anyone know what the lightbulbs are that illuminate the gears (in an auto) on the dash? The 'D' isn't working anymore. I would like to have a new bulb before i rip the thing apart so i can change it straight away. Thanks for help

mine has turned off before, but it came back a few months later.......when i resprayed my dash, it disappeared again. i'm hoping it will ressurect itself again...like last time.
if not, i might have to get a new bulb too :(
You'll have to buy it from a mitsu spares and costs upto $20.00. Sprints, Repco etc don't stock
those at all.

yeh i've been thinking about doing that too.......but it'll still be there annoying me.
neybody know the part number to the bulb, or a suitable replacement?
The whole pannel didnt light up for me, took it back to the auction house and he replaced it for me free of charge.

Most of the bulbs at the back are the same. Just ring a mitsu spares and tell them its for the 'D'
dash light. They sell plenty of them and should know which one to get.

Sorry, was exagerating a little bit. But they are expensive. You'll need the ones with a long
shaft. The ones that sell for very little at repco etc have the short shafts. I bought two from
a Mits spares a while ago and I think I paid $18.00 for the two. Can't remember. But they are
specialised bulbs and you people should know that any that is specialised costs.

Got a pic of it?

They look like the second set of globes at narva (http://www.narva.com.au/Globes_5.html). Although the Mitsu ones are not LED and have a
longer shaft. This is because they screw in from the back of the dash unit to light up the front of
the dash.

Unless they (Mitsu) changed their methods and started embedding light bulbs (a bad way of doing
things). They should look like thumb screw heads. You should see little 5mm black, grey or green
etc round things at the back of the dash. Twist them anti-clockwise and pull them out.
