I was wondering if any other Ralliart owners out there have had this issue, it has happen to me a couple of times now. First was last Friday and then again today.

Heres the problem
When driving at 100 or over it seems to change from 5 to 4 by itself and the only way to get it back into 5 is to change it myself but sometimes when I move it back into drive it can kick back to 4. Last Friday when it first happened it wouldn't stay in 5 for half the trip home.

This happen in my old TS once but after the fist time never happened again.

Is this something you think I should get looked at straight away or leave it for now, the car is going in for a service next month to also get my squeaky driver door fixed

Dont limit yourself to advice from Ralliart owners only. The same setup and/or problem could be found in a 5 speed auto Sports/VRX etc so maybe one of these owners could help

One of hte issues with the automatic transmission is the oil gets hot and creates a lot more "Flaring' between gear changes. i don't know if this would affect the holding of gears my automatic knowledge is a little thin.

but if the oil has not been changed recently then I would suggest get that done and make sure they use the CORRECT oil. Secondly consider fitting a auto transmission cooler kit - will help ensure that the vehicle retains a consistant shift pattern with less flaring and will make the car far nicer to drive. May help with holding of gears as well but I can't say 100% on this.

It turned out to be something with the Cruise Control.
The last time it did it I turned the cruise control off and it kicked straight back into 5th without me doing it.

Not sure why it does it.
Does anyone else have this problem with there TJ Auto and Cruise control

id just guess its detecting a load that you may not feel, but thinks it needs to drop to 4th anyway. maybe even a strong head wind could cause this?

I noticed similar issues with my AWD, had the fluid changed (it was dark brown - ewww...) and it hasn't done this again. Have a look at the colour of your fluid - if it isn't RED then think about having it changed.
