Just a quick question - has anyone had the problem with the tiptronic gearboxes being noisy when you first start the car and put it into gear?

Mine seems noisy (sounds like a grinding/bubbling noise).

It seems to clear up very quickly once the car warms up though.

A tad odd...

Anyone have any issues like this?

Never had a drama with mine, might be a good idea to check the fliud level.

A friends TJ was making that noise only after sitting out in the cold overnight. After it warmed no noise. As above check fluid levels but its prolly not a problem.

Mine did exactly the same, went back to dealer, they knew the problem, and said they had to tighten the external alternator and air conditioner drive belts. That fixed it straight away.
A common problem.
