hey everyone i get my tax return this week and i am blowing it on a Exhaust syster. but the only problem is i know F*** all about different systems. i went to a place near me and the guy told me i should get a cat back 2.25 inch sports exhaust system with extractors and hi flow cat converter. This all up supplied and fitted will be $1150. but i have more too spend if i have to. so should i go with this system or wat????

Firstly, your exhaust is already pretty darn close to a 2.25" mandrel bent system so replacing it with more mandrel bent 2.25" pipe isn't going to achieve much. Consider 2.5" at least, and make sure they're using mandrel bends as press bends are likely to restrict flow.

What kind of extractors? Pacemaker have a good rep, as do RPW's.. if its anything else, ask for details.. or just demand Pacemakers or RPW headers and be done with it.

Make sure the cat converter they're fitting is at least the same pipe size as the rest of the system, but it should be so no worries.

Also check what kind of muffler they want to put on. Don't get a canon if you don't want it really loud. Just a nice 2.5" or 3" straight through muffler with a tidy looking tip and it'll perform the same as a canon but without the over the top noise.

If you've got money to burn and just want to spend up, consider hunting around for a brand name muffler that you like the look of.. twin tips, whatever.

Oh, and with that extra money, consider getting a before and after dyno done.
