Okai, ive finally gotten around to puttin in a tv/fm tuner card in my carputer.
But i dont know which cable is the antenna cable.
When i pulled the stock headunit out, there were 2 plugs.
1 plug consisted of many litttle plugs, im guessing these there the power/speaker connections.

And at the other end of the headunit was one big plug, i THINK this is the antenna but im not sure. it kinda looks like an RCA plug, but i dont know what plug it is, can anyone tell me? thanks.

I need to know the type of plug it is because i need to buy an adapter to change it from whatever it is to a UHF so i can plug it into my tuner card, thanks.

im fairly certian its the bggest plug there looks like a rca plug with a fat cable on it

The big black plug is antenna.
It's a standard car antenna plug/socket. I doubt you'll find an adapter, you'll have to make your own, but I don't know how the wiring would go - don't know what you'd need for UHF, or even if it would be possible/useful to use your existing atenna. You'd have to go to Dick Smith or something and get a standard car antenna socket, a UHF plug, and some wire, and see what happens.

Woops, i figured it out right after i finished posting that post.
I just gotta cut the cable and splice on a UHF plug, then it can plug straight into the tuner card. all good, thanks for the help anyways.

lol abit late but yes that is your antenna cable, the other plug is your HU wiring loom :).

yeah i was guessing it could have been a euro style antenna plug or something.

they're weird mothers. they are a pug with a hole in the middle (conductor) and the plastic surround has 3 little half drilled holes....different from your garden variety standard antenna plug lol
