I have to get some work done to the engine... the cam seals are leaking and dripping oil over the timing belt. It will probably cost a fair bit to fix this (does anyone have an estimate?)

Anyway, my question is - while my mechanic replaces the seals and also does the timing belt at the same time - is there anything else that he could easily do at the same time? (preventantive maintenance or something).

Oh - and another thing... what might be the cause of a car that seems "flat" to drive... eg: i accellerate - the engine seems to respond - but the "drive" doesnt get transferred to the wheels. I am guessing it must be the transmission (auto :( ) or the torque converter? I've had the transmission looked at and oil done and they say its OK. It doesnt feel OK to me tho :(

Cheers,
Kim

Timing belt kit should be about $200 plus labor. Kit includes seals
