Can the stock factory sideskirts for a TL easily fit on the side of a TJ? Has anyone done this?

Should do. They didn't change any of the door & sill panelling etc for the TL that I can see.

I don't reckon they will fit unless you remove the plastic rub strips from the bottom of the TJ doors but then your left with holes to patch as the TL side skirts come out past the bottom door edge.

Yeah I don't think they would either - can't really explain why - but I've looked at TL/W's before and I'm pretty sure there's something fundamentally different about the lower side panels. You'd have to look at them side by side.

yes they do all you need extra is a cap on the dog leg at the bottom of the rear door and to get the white clips out is to twist them. I should know i work at mitsubishi as a rectifer

I know this topic is old but did you end up trying this. I've been wantign to do this for awhile, but i'm worried about the plastic bits at the bottem of the doors...
