well, i've had the 2 12' subs sitting on my bedroom floor for way too long now, and the old leaky boz in the boot holding the other 2 is starting to give up... my mate just go this bench saw, and we're going to be building the custom floor very soon!! i cant wait! total power of the system will be about 1400WRMS for the subs and about 400WRMS for the speakers... i think i might have to look at getting that second battery....
does anyone know where i can get a personal dB meter? that would be awesome for tuning before it goes into competitions!

I think you can get them from places like dick smith and stuff...Im not sure.
An engineering place would have them for sure.

The dB meters from dick smith only go to 130dB so it's pretty useless if you gonna have that much power I'd assume it'd be over 130dB.
Rather than get a second battery you should upgrade the existing one. I can get Optima Yellow top for $290 (RRP:$420). That battery is 750CCA compared to the stock 430CCA. The Optima is the same size as the stock one too :)

sweet! that sounds like a much better idea. the main reason i was looking at a 2nd battery was for extended life, eg, drive-ins and stufff like that... unless you can tell me that the optima will last a few hours with about 100amps drawing... ;)

Check out the web site, but I would rather have one good battery than two standard ones.

i was thinking about running the car of the standard battery, and then runing a isolator to power a second battery just for the stereo... prolly a optima or similar battery. should i upgrade the alternater at all?
