View Full Version : The Digital Designs Z1 is alive!
Yes, the wait is almost over. They’re done and on the way to our shores. We're expecting them in the last half of August.

Retail price comes in at $2399 which is a bargain for an amplifier that makes over 3000 watts continuous at 13 volts with less than 1% THD. We might just mention that the amplifier can output over 5000W with 15V. Add to this the ability to be strapped should that ever not be enough power and you have quite a versatile power package.

Only 3000W you say.. i know of boss amps that put out 2000W and they are heaps cheaper :bowrofl: Hmmmm that is just crazy.
Let me see Caliber 2000d is 1250WRMS @ 1ohm and can be straped to give 2500WRMS @ 1ohm times that by 2 for DVC and that is 5000WRMS. They are $600 each so 4 of them will be $2400. So yeah the Z1 is a power bargin.. and all at 1% THD ( like that matters ).
Do I hear 2x Z1 running a 9917 for some low low bass...... would be interesting.

yeah, i was considering getting the caliber 2000d before i got my PG amp. they are really very good value for money. another popular one a while ago was the US tech 1600 or something or was it us tech 2000. it was made by a store in australia somewhere. anohter worty opponent would be the earthquake range of amps, as well as the already mentioned e-audios
the caliberes were essentially a cheaper version of the crossfire
