Hi All,

I have a TJ Magna 2001 and will have 17 x 7.5 CSA Edge rims fitted on this Saturday.

One thing concerning me is to lowering it. The garage told me if I have King Spings:
- Low: It will lowering just 1-inch over and will sitting 'JUST' right on the wheels and have no problems with driving.
- Superlow: The car will looks 'HOT' and might have problems with speed humps, etc.

Perhaps anyone could give me some ideas or suggestions in relations to this. Should I go ahead with Low or Superlow. Tha.

For ease of use, most people have superlows without a problem. Tell your garage person he's full of shit and doesnt know what hes on about.

hot performance, i have lovell superlows in my tf, i didnt have a problem with them obviously ya gotta go slower down curbs and stuff but they were fine untill i got my extractors and now the extractors are really friggen low so it all depends if your gonna get extractors.

if you are gonna get extractors i suggest gettin lows for the front and superlows for the back

nahhhhhhhhhhh if your not gettin extractors, or even if ya are and wanna be real careful down curbs, go the superlows all round, none of this higher at the back **** the back of the magnas are high enough as it is

Thanks guys, you're all very helpful.

Another concern tho,
Do I need to replace the shocks for either lows all around or combo?

the front of magnas are higher at the front... (gap in guard that is) thats y its more common to have superlows at front n lows at back.. to give it an even all round height

yeh sorry i just mean that the back of the magnas look really high

hot performance, ya dont need to get new shocks unless yours are stuffed which i imagine wouldnt be coz theyre not very old

yeh magnas are wannabe 4WD, how high they site :S

i would recommend superlow rears and compressed superlow fronts... if u dont mind the ride being a lil harsher.... but at same time... having a killer slammed magna :D

I recently bought SYNRGY's springs which were king superlows compressed as far as they would go. Ive got bout 1/2" gap between tyre and guard on the front and the guard is almost to the rim on the rear - this is on 18's (see pic). I havent had any issues with these - obviosuly have to be careful over speedhumps/drivways/etc but its not rediculous. I DID have to roll the rear guards but that was only because they are compressed so much.

I used to have king superlows all round and had no problems at all with them

Putting Lows in won't sit your guards right on the whell, even with super lows you will have a bit of a gap... Go Super Lows in the Frotn and lows i nthe rear for an awesome look.

Thats what I have in my ride and I have had little clearance problems, just trimmed an inch off my mud flaps.
