hey, im trying to get the disks off to get them machined, but i gots no idea how to...

its a TF jus incase this varies through models.
i got the calipers off, and i found two bolts behind the bracket brace, removing them i imagine will remove the brace but not the disk. am i missing sumfin or forgetting sumfin? any help would be appreciated.
there a silver cap over the centre of the disk, now usually there is a bolt behind htis, but i havent been able to remove the cap.

thanks alot,

You do realise that the rear setup is different to the front. The front is disk only whereas the
rear is drum-in-disk. The drumbrake sits on the outside of the disk. Don't do it your self if you
aren't sure of the setup. Brakes are very important.

I just did the handbrake on my TE so know the secrets !!

If the disc is solidly stuck to the hub ( where the 5 studs come out ) and you have undon all the disc brake bolts and hang the caliper safely out the way.

Spray wd40 or penertration fluid in the places where it will soak behind the disc to where the drum brake is housed.- near the studs.

NOW tap the drum part of the disc sideways. (Not from the inside part of the disc)
rotate and keep tapping - the drum part has rusted itself to the inner hub.

Once it moves you are fine.... except if it stop coming off after about 1 centemetre.
If this happens you have to back of the drum brake shoe, that the notched adjuster behind that rubber plug in the drum part of the disc.

You use a screwdriver to rotate the notches, Count the notches you may need to turn it 3- 4 rotations to losen the shoes to get clearance to remove the disc.
