HELP!!!!


my new babys (2001 TJ) battery just died. its all good now, but the trip computer flashes the number 5 at me...

people, WTF?????

not strested about the radio not working (getting turffed this week), just want it to stop flashing 5 at me.


PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

S is for sedan......
W for wagon....

jsut if you have a sedan then the S is for you.. theres no real problem here..... so dont worry..

To select the S jsut hold the mode button down and then it will come to 3.5... hold the mode button again and you'll be right... :D

next question, when i start her sometimes, it will start and then the revs will bottom out and then pick up again. battery or altenator?

That;s normal. The computer has to learn and settle itself. Drive around for around 20 - 30min and then sit there and let it idle for a few minutes. The car will stall a few times, but after a short while, it will settle and it will be ok.

eeerrr..... its the other way 'round start let it idle for 5mins then drive it the normal. :doubt: meaning no flooring

Yeah, don't go around stalling on public roads - dangerous stuff.
You'll risk a schoolmum running up your butt with her 4X4 truck. :rant:

When "idling" after battery change, for all the Mitsus I've worked on its better
to rev it to about 1500 and hold it there for like 30 secs. Cures the stalling 100%.

Then with the 3rd gens, go driving 'normally' for 30 mins for the auto to relearn your habits.
