View Full Version : TE Cruise Control
My Cruise wont come on at all anymore but the light comes on on the button when u want to engage the CC. Where is the fuse in the 2x fuse box? And what might be the problem?
Thanks

I feel your pain mate, mine has done the same thing, but reading around in the tech forum has led me to believe that it may actually be something to do with brake lights. Well maybe the whole iffy electrical system in general.

Do you have clear tail lights with LED globes by any chance?

mine stopped working one day,
is yur car manual or auto ?
check the cc unit itself, mine has buggered but never been bothered to change it
Mine has stock standard lights (but looking to get some para's but reading about wiring them im rethinking that idea) Auto tranny. Before it went completly sometimes it use to go on and then other times it cuts out now after the long drive down south it has cut out all together. And where is the CC unit?
not sure on the auto, but mines on the drivers side just next to the window washer bottle

Firstly check the Fuse is not dead.
The CC is activated by the control module sucking in the diapragm above and to the rear of the TB.
Remove the hose at the control module that runs to the TB and with the car off, open the TB by hand and suck the hose. The lever at the bottom of the the CC diapragm should raise. While still sucking slowly allow the TB to close and check that the vacuum in the line can hold the TB open.
This will tell you:
If there's a spit in the hose, and whether the diapragm in the TB is dead. Check the Control Module for damage or cracked fittings.
If all these are ok then the Control Module and possibly the electrical connections to it are in strife.
Update: Now, I tried using CC when I was driving, and guess what.. Now it works... I honestly dont know what is going on. BTW: Where is the CC fuse in the fuse box??
Thanks
