Does anyone know the easiest place to run a Power Cable for an amp from the Battery, through the firewall in a TR?
Help would be much appreciated.

i just ran mine up the right hand side of the car, under the plastic trims, and through the rubber brake grommet. Takes a bit of work and it can be difficult to get it to fit, but i got it :D

it's been said not to run cables under the plastic trim of the doors...
i ran mine from the battery throught the firewel on the right hand side of the car... down under the carpet past the passenger seat and i cut a small hole under the passenger seat to connect the wires to the amp.....no wires seen and best of all no CRACKED PLASTIC...thats the result..or busted cables!!!! home job too!!!! the carpet is easy to put back and stuff.,...

Samurai

I put an amp in my TR probably around 3 weeks ago. I put it under the front passangers seat. If your engine is the same as mine these pics should help.

ps. Cut and paste the address into your browser. geocities doesn't allow third party entries.

well i am having a problem with mine. the day i installed my amp i was getting some serious engine feedback. everytime i revved up i'd get a bloody loud buzz, the pitch of the buzz related to the revs. I installed one of the noise regulator thingies you can buy for $20, the only time i get the buzz is a high revs, it's bloody funny because it sounds like the car is turbo charged, it's amazing how many people are fooled by it. I'm pretty sure i didn't corss any of the cables over. so i don't knowh whats going on.

Thanx guys u've all been a great help.
Steve, the only thing i can think is that yur Running your RCA's/ Speaker Cables together with your Power Cable. If yur not, then i dunno why you are getting engine interference.
Power Cable is best run on the opposite side of the car to all the other cables.
