I went to autobahn the other day and enquired about the E-manage plugin, they said yeah $599 + loom for it. The problem is they dont have the loom for it? What do I use? I remember when The Ego got the Haltech put in he said it's an EVO 6 wiring setup or something. If now get one made up?

Any info thanx

You dont have to have a magna loom (I assume this is what you are talkin about) to wire in the greddy.

With most of the wires you just splice them into the existing wiring on the stock ECU.
IE: Ground, Power, injectors (if you have the additional injectore harness) etc.

The air flow wire just goes inline with the air flow wiring.

So you don't need a specific loom to be able to wire it in.
As long has you have the main wire harness which should come with the main greddy unit.

So I all I need is the main loom with the unit and splice it in, that sounds easy enough, then go and get it tuned

yep,
That's all you need.
Wiring it in takes about 2 hrs or so.

There would only be one wire that you have to cut (air flow wire) & the rest is just spliced in.
Then it just needs to be tuned.

Also the main wiring harness will come with the main greddy unit.

Don't you cut a wire for ignition timing too?

if u want the pro to do it f.i.s.t at boudary rd wacol they'll hook it up for 85$ just hook up no tuning. if u want tune its 700$ in and out

Ummmm,
if it has a wire (see instructions) for ignition timing then yes however I only think it has this if you have the additional ignition harness. Not if you have only got the main unit with no extras.

If you have the ignition harness.. yeah that's what I meant :D Just comparing what I went through with the Haltech.. I figured it would be pretty much the same.

So the main unit does'nt have the ignition wire's hey, so the timing is stuck at 10deg. How much more for this part? cause like I said there arnt any extra looms avaliable for it. Also is there any advantage seen in these engine when advancing the timing?

Also is there any advantage seen in these engine when advancing the timing? Damn straight! You definately want to invest in the ignition and injection harnesses. They're not expensive at all, compared with the main unit.

I believe as standard you get to alter the load signal (MAF sensor signal) on a fairly low resolution matrix (4x4 or something criminal).. but with the extra harnesses you get more like a 16x16 point matrix for ignition and fuel maps.

You'll find some good gains with ignition advance over simple fuel control.

cool thanks, cause it's $599 with the normal harness, then is it just get another made up or something?

Alright thanks for that, umm anybody on the northside of brisbane that anybody knows of that has tuned them before? Or is it the southside for a trip?

yeah the ignition harness & injection harness are a good thing to have, I think they are like around the $80-$90 mark I can't remember.

The injection harness plugs into the main unit & you just splice the wires into your stock ecu injector wires.

The ignition harness also plugs into the main unit & you need to cut a wire & tap into this way.

When you have the instruction booklet you will understand. You can look at this online.
