I chopped my photo, what I did was colour code the door handles, and colour black the window surround which is normally chrome, I debadged the v6 above the indicator and lowered it.
The chrome stuff on my car just does'nt seem to suit the colour so I am open to suggestions.
The original photo and chopped one.
To me it doesnt look good.

Definately lower and debadge it... Not too sure about the chrome around the doors. But definately leave the door handles as they are  Nice work though!

Definately looks better lowered (though you didn't center it properly :P). Wouldn't get rid of the chrome though, just doesn't look right. Debadge is good too :).

If you had darker rims, it would look good without the chrome. it just looks like something is missing.

IMO - I like the no-chrome look. Makes it look tuff!
But tint the side indicator as well.

I have done it once before, lightly sand the chrome stuff so it is scuffed up a bit, applied gloss black straight over it, it never came off.
But this time I am thinking a primer as well, and I might go for matt black paint instead, so it looks like plastic.
wouldnt the door handles from a TL fit on a TJ anyways??? or is it one of the few things they changed dramatically???
