so long as there astron II fwd configuration, then there fine.
yeah 2.25" is the biggest you'd wanna go.
you get alot more mid torque, you'd lose abit down low.
you have carby right?

yeah carbie and LPG...
im thinking of going EFI cos if its 10kw extra for $100 it might be more economical than a weber carbie transplant, and im no surgeon especially with jet sizing cos that just really confuses me.
i like carbie though, still that "old school" feel about it. and i dont have to worry about frying ECUs or sensors and crap...
so i reckon i will install the HiTechs, and a 2.25?
would i notice the difference between stock, 2.25 and 2.5???
i know 2.5 would make the low revs suffer, which is what i dont want. my car suks sh)t in the 800 to 2200rpm. just dies on hill climbs...
oh yeah what really is the best auto tranny fluid the last post just confused me and i still dont know cos there wewr so many mentioned...

stock piping is 1.75" for you, so 2.25" is half an inch bigger. anything beyond 2.25" is pointless, and unless u have some serious mods to compliment, your just making fuel economy for ureself worse.
2.25" is plenty, if your not doing to many mods then even 2" is fine.
there's so many different people posting fluids coz each person reckons there is the best.
if you wanna be safe, use mitsubishi fluid.

Hi Tech seem to make some pretty good exhaust crap, they have a factory out here in Bathurst. I have seen their work on 6 and 8 cyl Falcons - very nice :)

Alright im gonna keep them!
So any tips on installing them?
Will i need a new gasket, or the heat shield thingy?
is it alright to weld strait to the flexi pipe and put a cat after it?
I want to use the stock exhaust for a little while untill i find out which size
is best to install later....
Would i notice any difference in power/or sound even with stock exhaust?
Also I used some Nulon Carby cleaner stuff and far out it worked a treat! my car revs so much smoother than before, even redlines now! and fuel consumption is about 80km per tank extra!HOW COOL!!
I definitely reccommend it even though it was $13 from BIG W.... cheap as compared to 80km of fuel....
Thanks guys,

Thanks guys,
yes you need a new gasket. it's always recomended to replace these, specially if your current one is a factory one. it's best to have abit of piping then to the flex pipe, cant remember where about's but mine is about mid way under the engine.
stock piping is fine. think of it as a bolt on application, remove your current manifold, cut the piping down to meet up of the level of your extractors, weld on a flange, and bolt them together.
ofcourse using a new gasket for both the flange and extractors to block.
performance, yes you'll rev a little better, I dont know if you'll lose or gain any low down torque.... but you ill gain torque in the mid to high regions. and sound, yes it will be a little louder, but remember you have stock piping with 2 S bend mufflers.
