Hey people... My car yard i got the car off says i need a service...
now they say my warrenty is void if i dont go with them...

BUT they only cover internals... Beside any heads blowin or gaskets goin.. so what could really go wrong...... besides that
so is it worth paying 185 for this service just to keep a warrenty on all lubricated parts NOT inluding heads and blocks and anything ecternal to the engine!!!

do you really need to go with them, my warranty policy mentioned that any repair must be done by any MTA approved repairer.

What about UltraTune? They warranty their service too... I'm not sure myself.. I get free service from Mitsu

it says other servicing will not be approved or recognised.... i need to return it to the dealership....

And since they really dont cover much.. i meen what could really go wrong?

Ultra tune seems better in my opinion...

The warrentt does not cover timing belts or anything like that...
and the car has done 71000...

hmmmm

yeah, thats a bitchy thing about buying a second hand car from a dealer, their warranty really sucks arse!!! i wouldnt bother with them as if something goes wrong, they will probably find a way out of it anyway!

Check with your local authorities as in most states it is illegal for the dealership to specify you visit them under fair trading. In most cases so long as a qualified mechanic has done the servicing and if a warranty claim arrises there is no proof the mechanic did something to cause the problem you will be fine

I was just about to say what MadMagna Suggests, from memory it is illegal under the fair trading act (WA) for a car dealership to force you to have your car serviced with them.

They cannot threaten you with voiding the warranty, if that warranty document states that then the warranty is not enforcable anyway, look into this one. Its a breach of contract if thats the case.

how long is the warranty, and how long have you owned the car. i paid like $500 for my warranty and never used a single penny out of it :(

if you're sure that your car is fine, hell with the warranty....

U know i dis my car then post a post about repairing my car...

one momment i love it the next i hate it.. hehehe

anyway i dont think much should go wrong with it..
only 72000 (went to that today woohoo!) and 5 years old!so its way way below average k's..... :P

I signed for 3 years on my main contract....

Nah they wont... its not part of the engine internals. and its not lubricated.... so that kills that idea!

First of all a complete shaft including new outer and reco inner joint should not cost you more than $135.00 tops. Engine miss at idle is prob T Body needing a clean. But if ur having black smoke problems have your injectors checked.
