i have used ebay alot to buy numerous items..
just make sure that you look at their feedback and dont buy from people who have less than 10-20 for expensive items, unless your def sure that he/she is honest.
if you can try to buy items located int he same state that way you can go and pick it up yourself and exchange in person.

They arent aussie at all, they import from indo etc...
Warranty will be void and they will only insure DOA gear I think...
At your own risk, but worth it if ur getting it half price.
Ul get slugged for import tax >$500

I buy a lot off ebay, but I wouldn,t buy a cheap cd radio, except from one of the larger shops on there offering at least a one year warranty.
The big shops are pretty good, you can tell who they are by the amount of feedback they have.
I bought a "NEW" player for $70 , it blew up after 3 weeks, and of course there was no warranty.
I guess you could say "There,s a sucker born every minute" :) and "you get what you pay for" but I expected a bit more than 3 weeks

My bro bought a pair of Kicker 6x9's for $150 brand new and in JB Hifi they are $230. Sometimes you can get good stuff.
just dont buy them cheap LCD's. Blew up in 3 days or something.

You might 'save' some money if you're into buying unknown-brand crap off eBay.
(I've been on eBay since 1999)
But if you're looking at a quality branded HU, just track down the selling prices of the model that you want then have a chat with your local dealer. If you're legit & flashing cash, there's plenty room for them to move.
Last week I did just that for my latest Sony... local guy pretty much matched what it'll cost for the eBay deal + postage. Shook his hand on the spot, thankyou very much - zero savings so why bother with extra risk going eBay!?
No worries on the warranties too.

I have been buying and selling off ebay for a little while and have had only one problem. Half my fault to the fact I didn't check what the seller was like but apart from that no worries.
I am not sure if I would buy any electrical stuff off there, or anything to that fact costing over $100 because as much as I still use it for smaller purchases I could see something going wrong. With Electrical stuff anything can go wrond with it and you don't have a leg to stand on if it does.
But thats just me
