Hi Guys ive got 2 questions

1. How much would it cost to replace my carpets in my car, i dont want floor mats, i want the whole molded proper thing, i know there are companies out there that make them but i cant find any, If u have done this and have any experience with the companys or just know of who to contact the please PM Me im in NSW but i presume the could post em, i only want to do it if i can replace it with Burgandy Super Plush Pile.

2. Under acceleration my car makes a noise asif ive left a spanner sitting on something metal, its specifically a metal on metal rattyling noise, i check and i havnt actually left any tools in there,I Have a 3L Te, its probably nothing but my last car made this noise and then about 2 weeks after the bearings in the crank shaft turned into dust, if u put my car in neutral and rev it it doesnt make the noise so its gotta be something to do with the vibrations caused when acclerating, it has been making this noise for months, i do have a broken right engine mount which prolly doesnt help but it was making this noise previous to breaking the engine mount.

Cheers

Luke

Carpet, $350 from mitsu, only place I found that does it.

Noise, have you checked your exhuast rubber mounts??? I had a problem like this in another car, it was the rubber mounts, on one side it was broken off and under excelleration it sounded just like you described, check them out.

had a quick look at the knox carpets site what colour would be good for a red car?

is american red plush too much on a red car ?

it would have to be either dark grey or blue otherwise

attempting to have a red car with blue highlights does that sound weird?

my only concern with these products is u still have your own crummy worn carpet, just a new colour.

yes red with blue is weird, are you trying to create a purple car ?

also i think just normal red would be better that american red, normal red has a deeper red colour to it. or u could go black. or white if u had a no shoes in car policy.

:stoopid:

Had this problem in my car.

If this is your issue, the best solution is to buy and install some decent after-market extractors rather than replacing the factory manifolds! Unless you have warranty.. which you don't.
